If the veneer could speak, we should also
be able to write history books.

Fanerami has a long and exciting history, with over 100 years of accumalated experience to lean on.

Veneer products has always been our core business, and we have over the years provided millions of square metres to customers all over the world.

Fanerami was founded in 1909 by Knut-Werner Dahlström. At the beginning of the 1900´s, it was very popular with veneer intarsia on furniture and panels. Knut-Werner quickly saw the possiblity to start producing veneer intarsia´s and became one of the first producers in Sweden to do so, on an industrial scale. The company grew and by the middle of the 1930´s, his son Gösta Dahlström, takes over the family businees and developes it to become a large manufacturer of veneer intarsias and also a wholesaler of veneer.

In the end of the 1950´s, the popularity of the intarsia veneer declines. The company now focuses on more simple veneers, and becomes one of the first swedish veneer joineries. A major part of the companies sales is also coming from wholesales of veneer. During the 1960´s the third generation takes over the company. The three brothers, Hans, Lars and Björn developes the company further and introduces new products to the market. Among the new products, is the wooden tambour door, which will later become on of the companies best selling products, even until today.

In 2006, the forth ownership change in the family is made, and Hans Christian Dahlström takes over the company. Fanerami is still a family owned company, in the fourth generation. Our aim is to keep our long traditions going, to develop the company and our products, together with our customers within the wood and furniture industry.
